Find Max PAE Load While Delivering Specified Pout Below Specified Gain Comp
Max PAE LoadAre you designing a power amplifier and have a nonlinear device model? Do you want to know what load gives the maximum power-added efficiency (PAE) while the device is delivering a specified output power and while it is operating below some maximum allowable gain compression? Registered users can view this ADS 2016 example and download our PDF document that includes details and screen captures.

How to Define and Maximize a Design's Figure of Merit or Make Trade Offs
Maximize FOM
Are you working on a design and need to specify/determine a number of different parameter values?  How do you define a design's figure of merit and determine the parameter values that maximize it? Registered users can use this ADS example workspace to define a figure of merit of a power amplifier and find the parameter values that maximize it.

IBIS-AMI Modeling of Asynchronous High Speed Link Systems
DesignCon PapersThis DesignCon paper by Xilinx and Keysight presents a novel approach such that an asynchronous high-speed link system can be modeled within the existing IBIS-AMI framework, making it possible to study the dynamics of the CDR under the asynchronous condition through time domain simulations. The paper explains what it takes to perform asynchronous link system simulations.

Tutorials in Signal Integrity Webcast Series:
Thermal Effects, Power Integrity and your PCB
PCB w/Thermal Webcast

In addition to validating the electrical performance of your PCB, it is also crucial to perform a thermal validation. This webcast provides a theoretical background for heat transfer and an overview of the thermal analysis technologies. It demonstrates the importance of performing thermal analysis on PCB designs by showing a practical PCB design example. Sign up for webcast now.

Help Us Help You With Power Electronics Design Challenges
PE Survey

As a designer in power electronics, we know you are facing challenges as you enter the high-speed era. Layout parasitics combined with di/dt greater than 1A per nanosecond give unwanted voltage spikes. Simulation tools can help design these out. Please help us build the next generation of tools, by completing our short (5 questions and 3 minutes) survey. Thank you!
